| Like many, Paul had an interest in cars and motor racing from an early age, and as a boy dreamed of owning a Lotus 7. He finally realised his dream in late 1999 when he ordered a Caterham 7 Roadsport kit which he built over the winter and registered it in March 2000. The car has a 1.8 litre, 140 bhp K series supersport engine and has been modified and rebuilt over the years. It is used as a tourer to attend a number of events organised by the Lotus 7 Club and has completed a number of trips to France and visited Le Mans over 8 times. It has also completed trips to Scotland, Isle of Man and a trip across the Pyrenees to Barcelona and toured the Picos mountains in Northern Spain. Paul is married to Pat and with a grown up daughter. Little did he think when building the car that it would lead to a whole new social life and such good friendships. |
A real “petrol head” Sarah built her 7 in 1994 and her love of speed means she also owns 2 motorcycles. She’s been on 4 trips to watch the Le Mans 24 hour race and went to the Le Mans Classic in July 2008/2010 and is booked to go again in 2012. In addition to her trips to France Sarah has accompanied fellow Seven owners on a tour of the Picos mountains in Northern Spain and enjoyed the thrills of the Isle of Mans fabulous roads. Sarah’s 7 is a classic 7 in British Racing Green and Yellow with flared wings and a 135 bhp Ford Crossflow Supersprint engine.
